Sophia Jalil, B.A.
Practicum Student

I completed my bachelor’s degree at a small college in Minnesota called Concordia College, receiving a degree in psychology with minors in sociology and cross-cultural interaction. I am currently pursuing a doctorate in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, Fresno.

I have worked with children and adolescents in the past, both in and out of the mental health setting. When I was in college, I taught kids how to swim at my local pool, through the Red Cross program. Since starting my doctoral program, I have gained some experience working in an inpatient psychiatric hospital, and the Veterans Affairs hospital in Fresno. I’ve worked with children, adolescents, adults and older adults. My overall goal is gaining more experience working with children and adolescents, who I hope to continue working with after receiving my degree.

In my free time, I like to spend time with my loved ones, including my cat Bradley. I also like to game online with friends, playing things like valorant or horror games. Otherwise, I enjoy reading, watching tv or movies, and listening to music.
