Practicum Student

I am a third-year doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University. Before beginning my graduate studies, I attained her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience at the University of Texas at Austin. I then went on to work at a Short-Term Therapeutic facility for foster children with severe behavioral and emotional difficulties. During my graduate studies, I have enjoyed working with various populations in an inpatient setting and providing assessment and clinical therapy for children and adolescents in an outpatient setting. I believe in the importance of building trust, supporting, and communicating with parents to assist them with managing behaviors and emotions in the home environment. I have a distinct interest in working with autistic individuals and/or those with developmental disabilities. I also enjoy working with children and adolescents who are looking to explore themselves or are struggling with mood difficulties (i.e., anxiety, depression, adjustment, emotional regulation). I strive to genuinely connect with children and create a warm environment for them to feel safe being who they are and growing into who they want to be. I value each child's trust and individuality and seeks to provide them with culturally sensitive care that will address their specific needs.

I am an avid martial artist in my free time and have taught people of all ages this craft for years. I am a huge fan of anime and K-pop and enjoy a wide variety of music ranging from Bollywood to metal. One of my favorite pastimes is experimenting with cooking and baking as I enjoy cuisines of all cultures.
